Ants Laikmaa was one of the most colorful personalities in Estonian art history, known as a portraitist and landscape painter, whose past technique was pastel. In Kadarpiku village, on the lands of Tammiku farm, the artist started to build his home in 1917, which ended in 1932 with the closure of the studio school in Tallinn and moving to Taebla. The Ants Laikmaa House Museum, opened in 1960, houses the artist’s studio, work and living quarters. Visit. Visiting information.
