USS New Orleans (CA-32) underway with temprary bow 1943

The U.S. Navy heavy cruiser USS New Orleans (CA-32) underway from Sydney, Australia, to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Washington (USA), in March 1943. New Orleans received a temporary bow after a Japanese torpedo tore off the bow up to the No. 2 turret during the Battle of Tassafaronga on 30 November 1942.
