Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington perform the Pandango National dance, a national dance of the Philippines, during a Asian Pacific-American Heritage ceremony. Asian Pacific Heritage month initially began as Asian Pacific Heritage Week before President George H. W. Bush signed an extension making the week-long celebration into a month-long celebration.
