USAID Measuring Impact Conservation Enterprise Retrospective (Guatemala; Rainforest Alliance) (40304528791)
Summary
November 2017. In 2003, the Forest Services Community Enterprise (FORESCOM) was founded as a result of the joint effort of eleven community forestry concessions of the Maya Biosphere Reserve in Petén, Guatemala. FORESCOM offers certified wood products as well as technical and marketing services to local community partner organizations. All FORESCOM products carry the Forest Stweardship Council (FSC) logo and the Rainforest Alliance certificate seal, documenting that they have been certified as coming from forests that comply with the internationally recognized principles and criteria of the FSC.
