US Navy (USN) Vice Admiral (VADM) Barry M. Costello, Commander 3rd Fleet, addresses the crew and guests during the commissioning ceremony of the Navy's newest Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer USS HALSEY (DDG 97). The ceremony marked the formal entrance of the guided missile destroyer into the fleet. The ship named after US Naval Academy graduate Fleet Admiral (ADM) William "Bull" Halsey Jr., who commanded South Pacific Force and South Pacific Area during World War II (WWII)
