PACIFIC OCEAN (May 3, 2011) The guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Erie (CG 70) fires a 70-pound practice projectile from its 5-inch/54 caliber Mark 45 lightweight gun during a live-fire exercise as part of Operation Trident Fury. Trident Fury is a bilateral training exercise designed to build a strong working relationship between the maritime and aviation forces of the U.S. and Canada.
