Persian Gulf (Feb. 1, 2005) - An S-3B Viking assigned to the “Checkmates” of Sea Control Squadron Two Two (VS-22) prepares for an arrested landing on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW-3) is embarked aboard Truman and is providing close air support and conducting intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance over Iraq.
