U.S. Naval Base, Pearl Harbor, Bulk Fuel Storage Tank Type, Middle Tank Farm, south of North Road between Merry & Quarry Lochs, Pearl City, Honolulu County, HI

Significance: The Naval Base at Pearl Harbor was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1964, due to the crucial role it played in the Nation's defense during the twentieth century and the calamitous events which occurred on December 7, 1941. As Category 3 facilities, Structures S746 and S747 were determined to be of minor importance to the historical character of the National Historical Landmark. Structures S746 and S747 were bulk fuel storage tanks with fuel for ships berthed at Bravo and Mike piers. Located approximately 120 feet from Merry Loch these structures escaped the attack and continued to provide fuel to warships throughout World War II.
