U.S. Marine Sgt. Justin Bandstra, Defense POW/MIA Accounting

U.S. Marine Sgt. Justin Bandstra, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency analyst, carries a case containing possible unknown remains during a dignified transfer ceremony, Sept. 9, 2015, as recovery team members recently arrived from Vietnam look on. The contents of the case will be examined by forensic archaeologists, forensic anthropologists and forensic odontologists at DPAA’s skeletal identification laboratory. DPAA conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
