U.S. Marine Corps (ret.) Maj. James Capers Jr. speaks about his 22 years in the Marine Corps at the Two Rivers Theater, Feb. 18, 2021, at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina. Capers was invited to speak by the Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point Diversity Inclusion Board in honor of African American History month. Capers legacy continues to impact the Marine Corps today, he is recognized as a pioneer in reconnaissance training tactics and strategies still used by Special Operations forces around the world.
