U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jermaine Luthers, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), 3rd squad team leader and native of Brooklyn, N.Y., makes adjustments to his Kevlar at Fort Pickett, Va., Sept. 2, 2013.
