U.S. Army Spc. Helen Jeschow, a native of Greensboro, N.C., holds the hand of Sode Jan, an Afghan girl she has befriended over the course of several months of volunteer work at the Egyptian Field Hospital on Bagram Air Field, June 3. The red coloring on Sode's hand is Henna, which Afghans use as a beauty cosmetic. Jeschow is an information support operations specialist with the 340th Tactical Military Information Support Operations Company, Task Force Tsunami.
