U.S. Army Sgt. Charles P. Hoffman, who is in his ninth summer here in Afghanistan building schools, is building the school in Bamyan in memory of Master Sgt. Tom Stone, a Vermont National Guardsman who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2006.
