U.S. Army Capt. Francisco Barroqueiro of Gainesville, Ga., won the gold medal in the compound bow open class of archery during the Warrior Games at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 15, 2013. Barroqueiro is currently recovering at the Community-Based Warrior Transition Unit in Florida. The Warrior Games is an annual event allowing wounded, ill and injured Service members and veterans to compete in Paralympic sports including archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, track and field, swimming and wheelchair basketball.
