U.S. Air Force Gen. Philip M. Breedlove, commander, U.S. European Command and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, visits with World War II veterans at a paratrooper drop at Iron Mike memorial here, June 8, 2014. More than 600 U.S., German, Dutch and French service members jumped to honor the paratroopers that jumped into Normandy on D-Day. The event was one of several commemorations of the 70th Anniversary of D-Day operations conducted by Allied forces during World War II June 5-6, 1944.
