U.S. Air Force engineers from the 820th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operation Repair Squadron (Red Horse) uses a back-hoe to create drainage ditches in order to reduce erosion of the road between the Kumaka Regional Hospital and the only air strip in the area. Red Horse engineers are participating in this first combined humanitarian and civic assistance exercise conducted between the United States and Guyana. Military personnel from the Air Force, Air Force Reserve and National Guard, Army, Army National Guard and Marine Corps participated in the exercise which included engineering and medical readiness training
