Trilobite Ehmania walcotti, Yellowstone National Park
Summary
USNM_90667: During the Cambrian period and throughout the Paleozoic era, an inland sea occupied the Greater Yellowstone area, unlike its present landscape of mountains, geysers, and rivers. Fossils, like this trilobite provide evidence that the land was covered by water and animals occupied that habitat. Trilobite Ehmania walcotti (USNM 90667) was among the variety of animals to flourish in the area.;
