Trail to the dwellings, Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, 2015.

The Mongollon, who lived here over 700 years ago, traveled a rugged path to their dwellings while carrying water, wood, carcasses and all of the burdens needed for everyday life. Today, the path visitors must climb to visit the dwellings is left in a fairly natural state.
