Toshimasa - Tsuba with the Gods of Wind and Thunder - Walters 51166 - Mark
Summary
On the front of this tsuba, the god of wind, Fujin, can be seen blowing a hut. He releases the wind from his bag. Below, several figures can be seen around the hut. On the reverse, the god of thunder, Raijin, is in a cloud. Above him are the drums he beats to make the thunder and he holds drumsticks in his hands. These two gods are often depicted together.
