This is a representative example of rooms and the poor condition of the electrical and heating systems in office buildings next to the control tower at Fokto Air Base in southern Hungary. U.S. Air Force and Army units from across Europe and the United States combined forces from 16-21 November, 1995, to survey the condition of four airfields in Hungary for possible use by U.S. forces should they be sent as a peacekeeping force in Bosnia. This one is a former Soviet combat helicopter base. It is considered a bare base, has been closed for years, and the facilities are in poor condition
