Boston (Jun. 13, 2006) The USS Constitution color guard team presents colors as the Navy Band Northeast Marching Band joins the world renowned "Boston Pops" performing "Stars and Stripes" for the grand finale of "America, Program of Patriotic Songs" at Symphony Hall in Boston. The evening's performance included a pre-concert by the Northeast Navy Show Band. Thousands were on hand for an evening of patriotic music marking the grand finale of Boston Navy Week. Twenty-four such weeks are planned this year in cities throughout the U.S., arranged by the Navy Office of Community Outreach (NAVCO).
