The Hundred Days Offensive, August-november 1918
Battle of the St. Quentin Canal. A German medical orderly killed near some hastily dug trenches thrown up to defend Joncourt, 9 October 1918. The town was taken with little resistance on 1st October by the 15th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers and the 8th Australian Brigade.
