A series of pictorial vignettes illustrating the story of Paul and Virginia as originally told in the novel by Bernadin de St-Pierre (1788) and later in an opera (which changed the ending of the original story) by Kreutzer and Favieres (1791). Scenes include a shipwreck and scenes on a tropical island. In red on white.
