Textile Fragment, mid- 18th century (CH 18316159)

Strip of white silk satin embroidered with chain stitch in green, blue and grey silk showing a design of floral arabesques terminating in butterflies. At center, a fountain with bandelwerk. Selvedge on two sides, strips of pink with three pines of metal yarns, and a narrow border of three red warps.
