Summary

Tech. Sgt. Joshua Ashton from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer fire department removes the pendant (cable) from an F-15 tail-hook and gives a signal to raise the hook Nov. 19. The fire department was conducting cable engagement certification. This is an annual check to ensure that the system is able to contain any aircraft that is having malfunctions when landing. Sergeant Ashton is deployed from the 316th CES Andrews Air Force Base, Md., his hometown is Grove City, Ohio.
