Charles Henry Dean with wife and young family

Charles Henry Dean was born in Manchester, England in 1850. He married Sarah Hayes in 1871. They came to Brisbane with their 5 children in 1883. Charles Dean was an upholsterer, setting up business first in Charlotte Street, then Latrobe Terrace, Paddington. He helped found the Salvation Army Corps in Paddington, then became Superintendent of the Petrie Terrace Baptist Sunday School. He died in 1936. (Description supplied with photograph.).
