Staff Sgt. Crystal Groves, 25, from Viroqua, Wis., the Female Engagement Team staff non-commissioned officer with Regimental Combat Team 2, and an Afghan interpreter, recite the Afghan alphabet with two local afghan children at the Delaram Afghan Police Mentoring Team Station, Dec. 22, 2010. Groves works with interpreters to help foster positive relations and teach the local Afghan children how to read, bridging the language barrier between coalition forces and Afghan locals.
