Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Micheal P. Barrett addresses a Marine with Battery A, Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force during a visit to the GCEITF headquarters, Sept. 23, 2014. Barrett spoke with the Marines and gave them Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps coinsas a show of appreciation for their commitment to the task force. From October 2014 to July 2015, the GCEITF will conduct individual and collective level skills training in designated ground combat arms occupational specialties in order to facilitate the standards based assessment of the physical performance of Marines in a simulated operating environment performing specific ground combat arms tasks.
