Macias, a warehouse clerk with Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 3 and a Rockford, Ill., native, watches from a safe distance in order to better understand the defensive movement. Techniques of the green belt incorperate new techniques, as well as the retention of manuevers learned in tan and gray belt. The group of Marines studying for gray and green belt meet weekday mornings to improve techniques of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
