Senwosret III Statue at BM
Summary
Quartzite sphinx of Senusret III, 12th dynasty, Middle Kingdom. During the 15th dynasty an official dedicated it to the hyksos ruler Apophis (the barely visible inscription on the right upper foreleg). British Museum EA 1849, London, Room 4.
