Scarf's Blenheim during World War I
Summary
A Bristol Blenheim Mark I, L1134 'PT-F', of No. 62 Squadron RAF, taxying in front of a line of Brewster Buffaloes at Sembawang, Singapore, as another section of Buffaloes flies over the airfield. It was in L1134 that Squadron Leader A S K Scarf and his crew single-handedly attacked the Japanese-held airfield at Singora, Thailand, on 9 December 1941, for which action he was awarded a posthumous Victoria Cross.
