S.C. Guardsmen Work with Afghan Elders in Preparation for Afghanistan's Upcoming Elections

Soldiers from Civil Military Operations, 1-178th Field Artillery Battalion, South Carolina Army National Guard, meet with elders from the Hud Kheel village of Kabul province to review polling places for the upcoming elections in Afghanistan. The Camp Phoenix based Civil Military Operations team is responsible for executing the counterinsurgency mission in Afghanistan's capital city. The 1-178th Field Artillery Battalion is currently serving a one year deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
