SUBIC BAY (Jul. 01, 2013) Sailors pull in tow lines aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) as Fitzgerald returns to Subic Bay after the at-sea phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Philippines 2013. More than 600 Sailors and Marines are participating in CARAT Philippines 2013. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor Leste.
