ARABIAN GULF (Jan. 13, 2014) Sailors participate in an M9 service pistol gun qualification shoot on the flight deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104). Sterett, as part of the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group, is deployed supporting maritime security operations, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
