CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh (Sep. 20, 2011) Sailors assigned to the mine countermeasures ship USS Defender (MCM 2) participate in a music class with students at the Bangladesh Ashar Alo School and Rehabilitation Center during a community service project as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Bangladesh 2011. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness. Bangladesh is participating in this exercise for the first time.
