Saguaro cactus (Carnegiea gigantea) flower buds, Tonto National Monument, 2015.
Summary
The first branches of the saguaro cactus appear when they reach 15-feet in height. More branches mean the saguaro is able to produce more seeds and fruits, thereby increasing its chances of reproduction.
