Death of a Condor, As the westbound convoy it was stalking steams on in the distance, a Focke-Wulf FW200 is abandoned by its crew, having been shot into the sea by a No 233 Squadron Hudson (serial AM536) on 23 July 1941. Six Germans were picked up by one of the Royal Navy escorts".
