Rickert's Coal & Freight Company, Canal Street, 200 feet south of Lock 8, Weissport, Carbon County, PA
Summary
Significance: Probably built in the second quarter of the 19th century as a canal side hotel. Later that century barn/warehouse on the property 50 feet south of the dwelling was the headquarters for Rickert's Coal and Freight Company. The coal yards stood between the brick building and barn and the canal.
