Riaz Musani from The Aerospace Corporation and Lt. Col. The launch team is conducting an eight-hour countdown in preparation for launching a five-stage Orbital ATK Minotaur IV launch vehicle, carrying the ORS-5 satellite, also known as SensorSat. The missions is also carrying three CubeSats for two government research agencies via a RideShare agreement. The Air Force and its mission partners, including the Space and Missile Systems Center, is responsible for the launch and operation of the ORS-5 mission. The LCC in Hangar AE has been used for the majority of unmanned NASA and U.S. Air Force space launches, dating back to the early 1950s.
