FORD ISLAND, Hawaii (Aug. 29, 2007) Representatives of the U.S. Senate, U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM), Navy Region Hawaii and Nan, Inc., dba Ocean House Builders break ground for the Pacific Warfighting Center. The $20-million facility, expected to be completed July 2009, is being built to enhance joint and multilateral operational missions and training by providing and environment for commanders and their staffs within the PACOM region to train for scenarios that can either be live, virtual or networked.
