The paid up membership numbers 51 and the roll ofothers carried over who will probably pay up later is estimated at 35- A1EDICAL.—Hospital.—The following is Dr. Walkers re-port of the Medical Work: The medical work of Bangkok Station has enjoyed a fairly busyyear. More patients have presented themselves for eye treatment thanduring any previous year. Many of them required surgical assistance.The hospital makes a specialty of Opthalmic Surgery, hence the largenumber of eye cases. As far as possible religious service and bedside teaching have beencarried on daily throughout the year. Several native evangelists visitthe hospital every week and take charge of the service. During theyear six have accepted Christ and received baptism. MISSION PRESS.— The press has had a busy year notwithstanding the general busi-ness depression. The work for the Bible Society has continued asusual. A small hymnal was printed for the Conference of Christian

During the coronation the press was taxed to its utmost print-ing the very large programs. An illustrated geography prepared bythe Wang Lang School, edition of 1,000, was printed. Two booksfor the Educational Department, the regular run of work for theSurvey Department, work for the business firms, together with theDaybreak and other mission printing have kept the press fullyengaged. The manager says that he would like to be able to reporta larger sale of tracts. During the year 439 ticals have been receivedfrom this source. But this amount includes some of the tractswhich are used bv the school children in mission schools. Thepress is here and the tracts are here. It is to be hoped that thoughthe mission is crippled in its touring force and weak in its evangel-istic effort, it may yet find some way of increasing the circu
