Rangoon Teapot, ca. 1878–85 (CH 18669355-2)

Teapot (a) of footed ovoid form with curving spout and squared handle, the crackled cream-colored ground with brown transfer-printed decoration of birds in flight among a tree and flowers, above a geometric-patterned band and a section with flower decoration. Sprays of flowering branches on spout, geometric pattern on handle. The circular lid (b) decorated with sprays of flowering branches and geometric pattern on squared handle.
