PP19 Philippines: Asian Disaster Preparedness Center visit

Tacloban, Philippines (March 13, 2019) Captain Gil Quinto speaks at a Disaster Risk Reduction Management Class as part of Pacific Partnership 2019 (PP19). The class, held at the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center in Tacloban, promoted an exchange of humanitarian assistane and disaster relief knowledge between Philippine officials and PP19 partner nation personnel. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security and stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
