Summary
Significance: This avenue remains largely faithful to its design on the L'Enfant and Ellicott city plans, although much of the land flanking the southern segment is vacant or used for industrial purposes and storage. Between Eleventh and 14th Streets, SE, the avenue is included in the National Register of Historic Paces Capitol Hill Historic District.
