Marines with HMLA-169 and HMLA-267 provided support to California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection’ firefighting efforts against the Valley Fire in East San Diego County, Sept. 7-9. The Marines are committed to supporting the local community, and conducted the training to gain additional proficiency in aerial firefighting techniques in the event they are called to assist again.
