Patricia Ellis (20 May 1916 - 26 March 1970) was an American film actress. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and began her acting career in the 1930s. Ellis gained popularity during the pre-Code era of Hollywood and appeared in numerous films during this time. Some of Patricia Ellis' notable films include "The Mad Genius" (1931), "Blessed Event" (1932) and "The Keyhole" (1933). She often played leading or supporting roles in a variety of genres, including drama and comedy. Known for her beauty and talent, Ellis worked with some of the most famous actors of her time. Despite her early success, Patricia Ellis's career began to decline in the mid-1930s. She had contract disputes and struggled with typecasting issues. She finally retired from acting in the early 1940s. Patricia Ellis died on 26 March 1970 at the age of 53.
