Summary

PACIFIC OCEAN (August 15, 2016) – Amphibious transport dock USS Somerset (LPD 25) and amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) sail in formation off the coast of Southern California. Somerset and Comstock are part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, conducting Composite Training Unit Exercise with Amphibious Squadron Five and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
