Ottawa Post Office Fire 1904 - Victorian era public domain image
Summary
Ottawa Post Office Fire 1904. The Montreal Gazette (the next day) reported a fire of January 4, 1904, almost certainly it was this one. The reported fire seemingly damaged (probably greatly) the upper part of the building, though the ground floor was "damaged solely by water". It was rebuilt after the fire; the post office later added a floor, (top tower was never rebuilt)
