Orange Factory Village, Dawson House, Old Orange Factory Road (State Route 1628), Durham, Durham County, NC
Summary
Significance: This was the residence of at least two supervisors and their families (the Blackwoods and the Dawsons) for the Orange Factory textile mill which was in operation at the turn of the century. An economic/class dichotomy is evident by the house's geographical separation from the mill village and by its larger site.
