Oneida Indian Allies - National Parks Gallery

A fort VIP represents an Oneida Warrior. The Oneida Indians of the Six Nations were one of the chief allies of Fort Stanwix and the United States throughout the American Revolution. Throughout the war it would not have been uncommon to see Oneida representatives and scouts coming in and out of the fort on a daily basis.
